Service Description

The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program is a 47-60 hour course that provides a detailed and comprehensive approach for managing out-of-hospital medical emergencies, as a member of an emergency medical care team. The primary purpose of the EMR program is to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to assist licensed EMS personnel with patient care in the prehospital setting. The EMR program meets and exceeds workplace first aid training requirements and satisfies the desire to learn more than just basic skills without the burdens associated with the EMS provider certification. [Please Note: as of April 3, 2023, the New Jersey Department of Health states you must have a minimum of an EMR certification to work on an ambulance.]
